We believe that searching and applying with South Scotland Lets for your new home should be a simple stress free and cost free process.
If you have found a property you would like to view, please contact the office to arrange a viewing.
The application process at is very simple and if you are interested in applying for a particular property simply get in touch.
Making a viewing appointment
If you have found a property you would like to view, please contact us to arrange a viewing. We can do viewings during the day, evenings and weekends.
The date and time will be arranged and an agent will greet you outside the property before showing you around.
Lease and inventory
Our Property Manager will run through our standard approved lease with you and take the agreed deposit and first month's rent.
On the day of your handover/lease start date we issue you your keys. A full property inventory will also be taken as well as meter readings and photos. A copy of the inventory will be emailed to you within the first few days you are in the property so you can read through and note any comments before returning.
The signed approved inventory will be used at the final inspection when you eventually vacate the property.
Deposits and keys
When the day comes to decide to leave the property, please ensure you contact your Property Manager with your 28 days notice. We intend to refund full deposits to tenants, in order for us to do this, it is your responsibility to ensure:

The property has been fully cleaned to a professional standard throughout

All belongings/rubbish have been removed from the property

All keys are returned at the final inspection

You provide proof that Council Tax and utility bills are up to date/finalised
